Chain Drive Differential

Drawings show the assembly and parts of a chain drive differential. Assembly includes:

Mazda Miata LSD differential internals and stub shafts
drive sprocket
support bearings
shaft seals

The design is completely sealed and is primarily press fit assembly requiring engine case sealant. A bolted assembly design with o-ring seals was avoided to reduce part complexity and hence to reduce manufacturing cost. Design includes features necessary for disassembly (i.e. locations to apply gear puller).

The lower view shows the parametric design constraints used to define the revolved feature of part.
